Laboratory in Cognition and Perception v3 can form the core of a modern psychology laboratory course. The 20 paradigms enable replicating important experiments and to modify them in 100's of ways without programming for individual research projects.
The experiments were selected to be useful in courses in cognition, sensory processes, perception, and general research methods courses, demonstrating cognitive, sensory, and perceptual phenomenon.
The software provides a specially-tuned "intelligent" spreadsheet program that recognizes where the independent and dependent variables are located, enabling students merely to point and click to aggregate their data and to generate professional-quality graphs - all without the need to learn how to use spreadsheet functions. In addition, students are provided with a copy of Manuscript Mentor, an intelligent word processor that guides them through the processes involved in generating APA-style research reports.
