Zen is a unique and challenging game for two players based on Conway's game of 'Life'. The board is filled with evolving cells, and each player tries to grow patterns of his own colour and destroy enemy patterns. Many options exist for varying the rules - board size can range up to 60x60. Play human v. human or select from the five computer opponents, some of which are very strong! The rules are very simple - place a cell of your own colour in an empty square each turn, and watch the board evolve a step. But this simplicity belies the underlying tactical and strategic complexity of Zen!
