A unique suite of 48 shell extensions adding powerful new features to the Windows context menu for files, folders, windows and dialogs. Plus more than a dozen extra shell-related tools.
New features in ShellToys XP 5 include:
- Folder Color: customize folder colors for quick identification
- Clock+: choose your own date/time format for the taskbar clock; plus calendar, reminders and alarms
- Custom Menus: customize Windows context menus to hide unwanted items
- Desktop Icons: automatically restore desktop-icon positions when changing resolution
- AutoType: send text clips or clipboard-history items straight into any window
Right-click a single file to encrypt, decrypt or shred it; change its extension, date or attributes; copy its path to the clipboard; or select all files with matching extensions. Image files display their dimensions and a scaled preview on the menu - click to see the full-size image or a slideshow.
Right-click a folder to view and access its contents on a submenu; print details of its contents or copy them to the clipboard; open a command prompt; change its attributes; check its total size; or browse the images it contains.
Right-click multiple files to rename them or change their extensions; copy/move them to a different folder; encrypt or shred them; copy their paths to the clipboard; change their creation/modification dates; or select all matching files in the folder.
Other features include Go To Folder (instantly jump to a favorite folder in the current window or file dialog); Find and replace text in multiple files; Save and restore desktop icon positions; Batch-convert images between formats; Batch-convert audio files or rip CD tracks to WMA/MP3/OGG/WAV formats; Create a new folder by pressing a hotkey; and many more.
ShellToys XP lets you hide any items you don't use: re-enable them by simply checking boxes with no restarts needed. Hotkey support allows access to ShellToys XP tools with no right-clicks!
