Recommend ServerSense 1.1

ServerSense can monitor servers using ftp, smtp, pop3, telnet, tcp and http. It runs in your system tray and can notify you with a popup, a sound, email or an http request. ServerSense attempts a connection using one of the protocols listed above and generates an alert when contact is lost or re-established. Destination email addresses are server specific so different server changes can notify different administrators.
