Raster Utility is fulfilling the following functions:
- Inserting raster images. Raster Utility can recognize pairs of the files, raster and world file (TIFF and TFW, ...) or can directly read information from georeferenced files (GEOTIFF).
- Grouping of the raster images. It is possible to make groups of raster files according to any criteria (scale, position, source, ...). It is very easy to manipulate the groups.
- Connection with the raster images. Raster images can be connected to AutoCAD drawing very fast. Through the connection procedure raster images do not appear inside AutoCAD as entities, but only information about rasters, file position and georeferenced data are saved. In that way hundreds of rasters can be connected in just a few seconds. Drag and drop functionality is implemented.
- Drawing of raster boundaries. After rasters are connected it is possible to draw boundaries of the rasters, without loading and showing rasters. In that way it is possible to locate hundreds of the rasters in just a few seconds.
- Showing of the raster images. When raster images are connected it is possible to show them according the spatial criteria i.e. point, fence line or crossing polygon. In that way it is possible to show raster according to any internal point inside of raster boundary or to show all rasters which are crossed and which are inside of defined polygon. Because of that it is possible to show only those rasters which are necessary in the certain moment, without spending computer resources on showing all of the raster images.
- Changing the path to rasters images. It is possible to save and share the complete project which consists of raster groups and raster files. If locations of the rasters are changed, new path can be defined for the whole group of the rasters (not one by one).
- Zoom to raster. It is possible to zoom to any raster from the list of connected rasters.
- It is possible to show all the raster in current display window
