FTPshell uses an Office XP style interface designed to be simple for the beginner and yet convenient for power users. In addition to all the standard FTP client features like site mirroring, anti server time-out, passive file transfers, firewall support, clipboard monitoring, auto transfer mode, pre-configured sites, and recursive delete, FTPshell supports advanced features like a remote directory structure builder, automatic PORT/PASV mode switching, transfer session summaries, primitive server support, auto-wakeup on task, and an instant help system.
Users can simultaneously connect to multiple sites. Entire directories can be uploaded or synchronized with a single click. Custom rules can be implemented to overwrite, resume, rename, or skip duplicate files. A priority preserving transfer queue ensures that directories are transferred in the order that they were queued. Files may be transferred on multiple threads and progress rates for each individual thread are displayed in addition to the overall transfer rate. Tasks can be scheduled as one-time, or recurring (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly) by simply adding an item to the task queue. The persistent file transfer feature automatically reconnects and resumes a transfer until it is complete. The program also lets you directly execute your own commands on the remote server.
